So close we can almost taste it! Wow wow wow have the last 4 weeks flown by!! We’re here at nite hawk getting ready for opening day this thursday and we are getting more and more excited as the minutes pass! We look so forward to another busy summer and can’t wait to see familiar faces of summers passed as well as meet new ones! Our spidey senses are telling us that this is going to be one of the busiest summers to date at the lake and we are fully ready to flip an insane a...mount of burgers and shake a whole lot of baskets of fries. Oh and of course serve lots of ice cream - because no meal is complete without dessert Since everyone’s had ample amount of time to figure out what they’re first meal back at nite hawk will be, we’d love to hear it!! After a long and interesting past 6 months, we are now closed for the season. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to West Hawk and chose to visit us at Nite Hawk for some food, a snack, ice cream or even just to pop in to say hi. With everything going on in the World, our country and province itself, we along with millions of other businesses had no idea of what to expect over this past summer. Something that we have been doing for 50 years and thou...ght we had a general understanding of was completely uprooted, changed and left for us to figure out and maneuver. A huge note to self-never get too comfortable because things change very quickly. We did our best to adapt to the surrounding environment and implemented new ways of serving the public in order to do our part and keeping our patrons and staff safe. We have become more and more appreciative of the patience, kindness and generosity that friends, family and strangers alike have given to us. While everyones monetary support during these hard times was immensely appreciated, it was the kindness, smiles and words of encouragement that kept us going. We would also like to send out a huge thank you to our nite hawk family for working harder than they ever had in previous years and for being a part of the team in order to see all of us succeed and get through these hard times. They all deserve a HUGE round of applause. We would never be able to do this without them and their drive and commitment to Nite Hawk will always be remembered. We look forward to some time off for winding down, being able to spend time with our families and for reflection on this milestone year - 50th anniversary and facing Covid, quite the whirlwind.
