Kingston Niten Kai Kenjutsu 12.07.2021

Hi all. Head instructor Mike made a purchase over the past couple of weeks, and it finally came in. We now have a functional katana for the club, and will hopefully be able to do some tameshigiri over the summer. We'll have more information on the functionality in a few days when Mike has tested the blade with cutting some actual targets. As it sits, just out of the box, blade looks sharp, and fittings appear to be tight, very excited to try it out.

So our first weekend back in the dojo after lockdown 2.0 was great, and the new location is amazing. It's really nice not having to worry about ceiling height.

So good news everybody, now that we're back in the provincial framework with a green status, we are back in the dojo. Classes are at the same times but we are at a new location. You'll find us training out of the YGK Combatives Group dojo at 720 Progress Ave. Of course all current and necessary Covid-19 protocols will be in place.
