1 The first thing we always address is any mechanical issues and create a program to correct them. 2 If there aren't any mechanical flaws, then we need to address the psychological side of over-thinking your reps.

In 1890, Canadian farm boy James Naismith moved to Massachusetts to attend the YMCA International Training School, which later became Springfield College. As a ...faculty member a year later, the Y asked Naismith to invent a new game that would be interesting, easy to learn and easy to play indoors in the winter. He came up with basketball! Fast forward to 2020 where we have Jordan Kilganon, globally known professional dunker (who put on a dunk show at the 2016 NBA All Star game) throwing down at YMCA Sudbury! It's so awesome seeing (and hearing) Jordan and his brother Chase at the Y. Seriously, you can hear the thunderous dunks through the whole building.

Can’t wait for this league to launch. Who doesn’t like shooting the ball?

Always a pleasure choppin it up with Sudbury Sports’ Randy Pascal. Even better when we get to talk basketball and some of the positives that came out of COVID. There are still struggles that COVID created for us up here but the basketball community is getting it done and offering more opportunities than ever before. https://www.sudburysports.com/article.php

As we start to wrap up our summer training we are excited to be approaching 400 sessions delivered! We look forward to offering excellent programming for athletes from across Northern Ontario as we pivot to indoor basketball which will launch for us in October. The venue is a terrific indoor full court and we can’t wait to share more about it! We will continue to offer private and small group skill development sessions as well as mark a return to offering Speciality Skill...s Clinics such as a shooting school. Eventually we want to launch a 3X3 league once a return to local competition and contact are allowed. Stay tuned and thank you for supporting NLBA. See you on the court. #pivot #outdoorhoops #basketball #coaching #sudbury #sudburybasketball #nlbaskills #hoops #indoorbasketball #northernontario #basketballacademy #400 #ontariobasketball See more

Here is a great interview that Kim Brouzes from Active Therapy + did with Sudbury Supplements for our online athletes. We thought it would be a worthwhile share for all athletes. Enjoy and if you have questions please reach out to any of us! https://youtu.be/zd44oXQVqeM

Thank you to Devin Gilligan for spending some time with Kim Brouzes to discus his career and approach to the game as a professional basketball player that's played on 5 different continents! Including right here, with the The Sudbury Five in their inaugural season. We want to wish Devin good luck on his newest adventure in Sweden. https://youtu.be/H3MKgm_j6r8
