There needs to be so much more research done in relation to Compassion fatigue and burnout in Public Safety Professions and caregiving roles. The statistics we have are staggering and it is just the tip of the iceberg!

Public safety personnel (PSP) absorb other people's traumatic experiences on a daily basis, absorbing the trauma through their eyes and ears. We HAVE to increase training and awareness about resiliency and the physiological effects of trauma and high stress on the body and mind. Our PSP deserve better!
