Did you know that the Ford Mustang couldn't be sold as a "Mustang" in Germany during the 1960-70s? The German truck manufacturer Krupp Motoren und Kraftwagenfa...briken held the "Mustang" copyright in the country for their two-stroke diesel work truck, but offered Ford the copyright for a price of $10,000. Rather than pay for the copyright, Ford decided to ditch all Mustang branding on their sports coupe and rebrand it as the "T5", which was an early name for the prototype Mustang. This went on until the mid 1970s when Krupp's copyright ran out, but not before several thousand T5s were built, which have become rare collector's items today! #DriveHistory (More info in comments)
