We had the chance to meet Deni from Deni's Dynamite Deals yesterday. He called to tell us he wanted to add the Foundation to the list of organizations he supports. The profits from Deni's store are donated to back into the community to help some of the many local people who need a hand. He generously donated $500 to our Student Support Fund. Please check out his store if you are looking for treasures or have gently used items to donate. This time of year he is looking for yard and garden tools and supplies as well as vinyls Check him out at 499 Seventh St. across from John Barsby.
Slegg Building Materials along with Island Red Cedar Construction, Benson Seymour LLP, and Best on Top Roofing proudly presented a $5,800 donation to Food4Schools program. Slegg usually holds an annual golf tournament to raise funds but unfortunately they were not able to host the tournament in 2020. That is where these local businesses stepped up and raised money through their own support and Slegg matched their donations. Big thanks to the great support from employees and friends of these companies! @sleggbuildingmaterials @bensonseymourllp

Many families are struggling to make ends meet leaving students without the adequate supports they need to be successful learning at school or from home. Your generosity allows us to reach vulnerable students and provide the basic supports they need. Your gift can make a difference in helping a student reach their potential and find success at school. Campaign Ends Aug. 31, 2020 https://www.canadahelps.org//na/campaign/stock-the-lockers

Scholarship selections start next week. We had over 400 students apply for scholarships and bursaries for their post secondary education. As any student knows, every dollar helps; and we are here to help!
