Northern Manitoba Sector Council 02.11.2020

We are now accepting applications for Class One Driver's Training! Apply today to find out if you are eligible for funding for the course! Training is being held late this spring. Class One Driver's Training is a 244-hour course over 6 weeks, with a 2:1 student to instructor ratio. Upon successfully completing their practical tests, students will possess the skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment as professional class one drivers within the truck transport indus...try. To be eligible for the training, you must be over the age of 18, and have a valid Class 5 Stage F driver's license with a Class One Authorized Instruction Permit. Your complete application package for the program should include: - First Class Training application form - photocopy of front and back of your driver's license - Driver's Abstract from Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) - medical record on file with MPI - Medical Records - criminal record check - completed written knowledge test with MPI for Class One Authorized Instruction In the first week of training, students will have the opportunity to challenge the Air Brake Authorized Instruction Permit. We're hosting an open house on February 19th from 3:30 - 6:00 pm followed by an information session with First Class Driver Training from 6:00 - 8:00 pm! Stop by to tour our centre, and ask questions about the truck transport industry. FREE! The info session in The Pas takes place on February 13th from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and the session on February 18th in Flin Flon will run from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (We mistakenly advertised the The Pas session takes place on the 12th. There are two classes available; the day session runs for a full week, and the evening session is taught over 10 weeks.
