Mauve-tivation -why do so many of you prefer white kitchens over so many options I will never understand NODA has a policy: we don’t do white kitchens because life is not black and white. It’s fifty shades of all kinds of colours in between. This kitchen by @cochineal_design in @farrowandball preference red on the cabinetry will win you over and may even consider venturing outside the monochromatic mundaneness. . . . @elledecor @as4d @joshuamchughphotography... . #interiors #designlife #designlovers #designinspiration #kitchendesign #kitchenconfidential #kitchendecor #nodadesigns See more

Chinese New Year is the festival that signals the beginning of spring, and the start of a new year according to the Chinese lunar calendar. Have you ever wondered why Chinese people wear red during Chinese New Year? Every year Asians all around the world gather with their families to celebrate the Lunar New Year. There are many traditions to uphold during this time like lighting firecrackers, writing spring couplets, eating dumplings and wearing red. According to ancient stor...ies, there was a monster called Nian ( = year) who would come out on New Years Eve and devour villagers, crops and livestock. Villagers discovered that this beast was afraid of firelights, blasting sounds and the color red. So every year before New Years Eve the Chinese would wear red, paste red spring couplets on their doors, let off firecrackers and play the drums. In addition, red symbolizes good luck and good fortune but also ward off bad fortunes. The red envelopes are given to children and unmarried singles hoping to pass on a year of good fortune and blessings. Another version is given by the younger generation to their elders as a blessing of longevity and a show of gratitude. Sending everyone who is celebrating the Lunar New Year filled with good fortune, blessings and a year of health. . . . . . #interiors #redinteriors #interiordesign #designlife #designlovers #designinspiration #designporn #lunarnewyear #chinesenewyear #nodadesigns @vogueliving @giancarlovalli @amy_moorea @thedeninteriors @kpdo_studio

My clients are sadly ripping these out. These are original vintage tiles and although I kept telling them you are crazy to rip these out sadly it’s going. The revival of these vintage tiles are so high in demand especially in Europe and the best place to get them are from @fornacebrioni from Italy. I was in their showroom awhile back in Milan and their scenografica collection are so retro and nostalgic. Love love love them. . . . . #vintagetile #dontthrowoutyouroldthings #interiors #designlife #designlovers #designinspiration #inspiration #tiles #tilesdesign #fornacibrioni #tilesfordays #nodadesigns
