Finally finished the kangaroo and wallaby pouches to send over to Australia. The ones with the scooped out part are for daytime so they can peek out of their pouches and the ones straight across are for nighttime. For a little sewing lesson for those so inclined there is a lot more going on inside these pouches than you can see on the outside. They are double stitched seams with upholstery thread so they are good and strong and won’t rip. The straps have been sewn in a lot i...nside to provide strength. Normally when sewing something like this you have to leave a hole where you can turn the whole thing inside out. Normally that hole would be on the inside where you wouldn’t see it. I put mine on the outside then did a very close top stitch around the whole outer to close it and hopefully prevent little paws from picking at seams and such. Also, there is a good reason for the rounded bottom. No little noses getting stuck in a corner and no dirt can accumulate in corners. I hope they help some little beings who need some lovin.
