I am pleased to community lead & announce the Fill A Purse For A Sister Campaign in its 6th year started by Angel Freedman is on now. Donate a a new or excel...lent used purse with thoughtfulness & fill it with essential items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, warm socks, scarf, gloves, lip balm, feminine hygiene products, tissues, an inspiring note, shampoo, conditioner, gift card etc. Thank you to the generosity of our community, we have expanded & added another 2 convenient locations for drop off making it a total 5. Please note that covid protocols & safety are in place at all locations. The need to provide women & youth in crisis with a purse or backpack filled with necessities has grown during the pandemic. This is an unprecedented time that has seen numbers soar turning to shelters for safety & support. Let's show our compassion & support to those who have had to flee their homes to escape violence & abuse. The pandemic has been linked to spikes in domestic violence, as well as around the globe, according to the Canadian Women’s Foundation. I also do not wish to forget our teens & men. If you have backpacks please fill & donate them with razors, shaving cream, deodorant etc. Feel free to PM me, your community lead for this campaign, ending Dec 1. Spray a weatherproof sealant on wood box. For this project, I used spray Varathane. 3) Remove leaves from faux greenery bunch. 4) Cut leaves in half. 5) Invite your Munchkin to decorate the Fairy Doorbell House with the available supplies. 6) Little Hands place the door, leaves, flowers, doorbell and jingle bells.(Please note that the jingle bell placement did not work for our project. We opted for faux flowers available at Smallmart) 7) Adult Only Step to be completed without little Munchkins help for their safety.
