Aaand I'm back! A lot of people ask me how it feels to be home, and it's really hard to put it into words. So usually the first words out of my mouth are "it's tough". And my no means do I intend it as a slight on Canada because I think this is one mighty fine country that I'm proud to have been born from.... Yes, the weather is colder, the pace is faster, and we've got a heck of a lot more responsibilities here. And when it comes to Fiji, I could write a novel on the things I loved and learned during our year there. But when it comes down to it, I've got two homes now, Canada and Fiji... and I think I left of little part of me in the latter. In reality, I feel so privileged to be able to say that. So I apologise. It's not "tough" to be home. This was Fijian winter. . These last couple months brought cooler weather than I ever expected from a tropical island paradise. Believe it or not, the Canadian flannel came out a few mornings.
