Last year, Nomodic completed one of our most ambitious projects to date: updates to a boutique resort hotel on the shores of beautiful Tofino, BC. Nestled along the picturesque shoreline, the resort’s two new three-storey, state-of-the-art guest suite buildings feature premium, boldly-designed suites that offer guests breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Working on scenic Vancouver Island, our team kept safety and the environment foremost in mind as they completed the upd...ates, which also include a reception and staff housing building. When BC Housing and RainCity Housing needed our help to address the urgent need for affordable housing in Chilliwack last year, time was of the essence in building a new 46-suite Supportive Housing Complex on Trethewey Avenue. By leveraging our optimized modular construction methods, local partner network, and experience on previous affordable housing complexes, our team was able to accelerate the onsite project schedule by an estimated 134 days over a comparative site-built ...complex. That meant residents were able to move in more than four months sooner, while the community experienced less traffic and disturbance. Building without boundaries in Northern BC! Our construction services team recently wrapped up the installation of a large accommodations facility at the Jedney Gas Plant in a remote location in British Columbia. The facility consisted of a 30-person dormitory, two corridor modules, a four-unit kitchen, and a three-unit recreation/gymnasium complex. The team overcame a few challenges, including less than ideal weather and road conditions (plus wildlife in the area more than a couple bear and moose footprints were seen nearby!), and the project was completed successfully last month.
