Apologies for being so very quiet on this account as of late! I have been extremely busy working on huge projects including SQUEEZYBAND and managing other social media accounts such as Joseph's Coiffures and more! Working on #SQUEEZYBAND has taken up most of my time in 2020 since the pandemic. However, I have learned so much in the past 8+ months so I am truly thankful for that opportunity to grow. I am also very excited to announce Bring Me Some opening soon in Hamilt...on Farmers' Market Head chef Kerry and my sister Celina have been working tirelessly to bring #HamOnt & beyond the most amazing vegan fast food (stay tuned for their opening in November)! I will make it a priority to take some time out of my busy schedule to post on here more often with nice content, updates and social media tips/tricks. It’s snowing in May so this is our mood for the day. #relatable
Working from home can be daunting for many of us. Below are some tips and tricks to keep your productivity and spirits high. . 1) Build a Permanent Work Space .... It’s important to set aside an area strictly for working purposes. This will help to avoid distractions. . 2) Discover Your High Productivity Periods . Do you get more done during the late afternoons nowadays as opposed to early mornings? That’s okay! Set aside your own schedule based on when you feel most productive and work around those hours. . 3) Make To-Do Lists . It’s easy to get side-tracked while working at home. Write down a list of your most pressing tasks and cross them off one at a time after completion. This will help you focus and feel more accomplished. . 4) Don’t Start Your Work Day in Your PJs . It’s easy to roll out of bed and feel sluggish since we aren’t heading out. Even if you’re changing into sweatpants, it’s important to have bedtime attire and daytime attire to be ready to handle any kind of video chat or check-in with a teammate. . 5) Set 2+ Alarms . Even if you’re waking up later, it’s important not to oversleep. Setting an alarm will ensure you complete your day without feeling it was wasted. . 6) Exercise & Stretch Regularly . Sitting down all day in front of your computer may strain your eyes, muscles and posture. Be sure to move around and stretch out your muscles to feel better. . 7) Eat Healthy Lunch & Snacks . Let’s face it, we all love snacks! We won’t judge you for what you choose to eat, but always remember balance is key. Have some healthy and plant-based foods more often to ensure your body stays healthy. . 8) Take Short Breaks . Definitely don’t burn yourself out! Remember to take a break to do something you enjoy, like reading a book, taking the dog out for a stroll, watching funny videos online, etc. . 9) Listen to Music . Music lifts the spirits and certain music can even help you to focus. Put on a playlist of your choice. 10) Check-In With Co-Workers Frequently . See how everyone is doing and stay social. This time can be very isolating for many and it’s vital to stay up-to-date with each other. . How are you managing with everything?
