Lots of mixed feelings at GBS with a last concert for Paul and Miriam, but it should be a good one, even though it’s still snowing up here!

So excited I get to listen to Nikki Chooi play Vivaldi’s Four Seasons this weekend!!! Three shows to choose from, come and imagine warmer seasons with us!

Nora Pellerin 12.11.2020

For all the young at heart! Which is probably most of us. Concert today at 3 pm up in the great white North.

Playing with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony this weekend, come see us tonight or tomorrow, 8 pm at Centre in the Square! This breathtaking pianist plays with such a gentle touch he will have you and your Valentine blushing. Come! Unless you are a cold character who cares only about themselves.

Huh. Not bad! Now give me more parts.

Nora Pellerin 11.10.2020

So I heard a rumour that some golden boy wanted these KWS parts. Then I found out that I was secretly infamous and all I had to do was ask for them and now they’re MINE! All mine. And they’re a lot of fun to play, full week of rehearsals and concerts ahead. And next season’s concert season being announced tomorrow evening! So many more concerts. For me to play.

Excited to play with Peterborough Symphony for the first time today! And Stéphane Tetreault is... zomg...

We are having a blast with this awesome ABBA group from Sweden! Come catch our last show, tonight at 8, at Centre in the Square. It feels awkward to ask them for a picture, but I really love their costumes so it was suggested to me that I sneak into their dressing rooms when they weren’t there and take photos. Maybe even find some embarrassing joke items they can’t seem to throw out, which I could then show the world, but that didn’t seem right. Meh. Come dance with us!!! http://www.themusicofabba.com

As an unabashed closet Gleek, I will proudly hold my finger and thumb in the shape of an L on my forehead! These kids are always awesome, come and see one of these dynamic shows. Tonight and tomorrow, 7:30 pm and 10:30 am show tomorrow only (early bird gets the worm!) at Centre in the Square.

"L'amour est un oiseau rebelle" Dangerously scandalous things are afoot with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony this week. It seems that showing up a little earlier to rehearsal means you sometimes notice what’s going on a bit more! This Carmen opera seems hauntingly familiar, and those faces people are making it’s like looking in a mirror! I’m pretty sure I think they’re trying to tell me something. But like Carmen, I’m not sure I want to hear it, so I will just keep playing my cyborg-pegged violin.

I got to play concertmaster with the Toronto Sinfonietta on the weekend with my Mom playing viola! It was a Polish celebration of the Epiphany and we were told emphatically that the best Christmas is a Polish Christmas, and it seemed they weren’t exactly wrong. So many blonds!!! I pretty much saw my friend Hanna’s doppelgänger. I wanted to take a photo of her but didn’t want to be creepy. Mom told me that we know the guy who painted this icon! Greg something. So cool.

Peg-splosion at The Sound Post!!! All of my own doing while trying out an E-string. I think it was a sign that I should change my strings more often? The team there were all wonderful and accommodating, and really a violin shop is probably the best place for such a thing to happen. But still...

Guelphites, come and celebrate the New Year with a wild GSO concert, 3pm at the River Run Centre! Bonus, we will be graced by a fabulous, fun and flirty singer who will surely steal the show, and maybe your heart.

Excited for this! My sister Clare Pellerin and I are playing Christmas carol type music today at vintage store Tambourine on Roncesvalles, between 12 and 3. Should be fun, come and join if you are so inclined. Our cousin Rachel Sheehan is awesome and has two amazing vintage stores in Toronto (Penny Arcade is the other one) you should check them out!

Unexpectedly got asked to play in the KWS Christmas extravaganza!!! An awesome yearly tradition, we have afternoon shows today and tomorrow at 2:30 and an 8pm concert tonight, let me know if you want discounted tickets! It really is spectacular, or at least quite something, I think.

Nora Pellerin 27.07.2020

An annual holiday tradition! Family Concert is at 4, evening show at 7:30 and this year we have local dancers performing The Nutcracker while us musicians are squished to the back of the stage. But it's totally worth it! Lots of Christmas fun to be had.

Nora Pellerin 12.07.2020

I'm trying to look like Morticia Addams here, but I swear it will be a wonderful Christmas concert! Look forward to meeting some wonderful new people, and hope to see you there.

Nora Pellerin 09.07.2020

Last chance to see this epic concert! Tonight at 8pm, at Centre in the Square. I am so lucky to be able to play with these amazing musicians, and wonderful guest conductor. We also perform some adventurous Mozart, but I think the Beethoven Triple Concerto really helps us find our way home.

Nora Pellerin 06.07.2020

Performing with the TCO tonight, 7:30 at the Sony Centre, led by this absolutely wonderful pianist, it should be a great show! (Ask me about discounted tickets if you are interested, wink-wink, nudge-nudge) Hope to see you there! http://www.sonycentre.ca/calendar-event-details/?id=496

This is always a very passionate and tender concert, in memorial of a friend’s sister, to help fundraise for the hospital that gave her care. It is always comprised of a group of amazingly kind and understanding musicians. I have played all six years, I believe, and this Saturday I will be thinking about a very gentle soul who is gone too soon. Please come and enjoy if you are able!

Nora Pellerin 07.06.2020

Come and see/hear/feel some awesomeness tomorrow or Saturday night. Worth it, I promise.

Nora Pellerin 18.05.2020

Come see us play tonight!!! Wonderful piano soloist and some fun pieces.

Nora Pellerin 04.05.2020

Happiness to a violinist = practicing for 3 different concerts in the next upcoming week, one of which I get to sit concertmaster!

Nora Pellerin 18.04.2020

About to perform with Marlena Tureski, Elliott Braganza and Clare Pellerin at the Guelph Connections Concert series!!!

Nora Pellerin 08.04.2020

Come see our wonderful Mozart Requiem at Centre in the Square tomorrow night, 7:30 pm! It wasn’t played at Mozart’s funeral but at many, many others including Haydn, Chopin and Beethoven’s.

Nora Pellerin 21.03.2020

Come see our show tonight or tomorrow night at Centre in the Square, 8 pm!!! Fabulous diva tunes dripping with soul and the famous DBP, that nice man who once gave me the most delicious marzipan desserts I ever tasted, is back at the podium. Woot! https://www.facebook.com/events/170407797172987?name=First+Ladies+Of+Song&event_id=170407797172987

Nora Pellerin 01.03.2020

Last chance to see our show at Centre in the Square, tonight at 8pm, with wonderful new Music Director Andrei Feher, Lukas Geniušas, Pianist (playing a beautiful Rachmaninoff 2), and a world premiere (second night) of Éric Champagne’s fun Festive Overture. And finally Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 in E minor (Mr. Champagne’s favourite, apparently. And mine!)

Nora Pellerin 18.02.2020

I am excited to play this piece again next week with the awesome Kitchener Waterloo Symphony (September 28th and 29th), and had never heard Rachmaninoff performing his own work! Beautiful interpretation. https://youtu.be/pBx-tr1FDvY

After a great summer of practicing, weddings and lots time with family and friends, Clare Pellerin, Elliott Braganza and I played a recital at Belmont House last night! I got to perform Ysaÿe for the first time and there were no fatalities. Phew! In fact, it was fun!
