SIMCOE The Simcoe Farmer’s Market is changing its online pick-up time and date for the week of December 21st. The hours for the physical Market are different ...as well. The Online Market will be available for orders on Saturday December 14, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. and will close Tuesday December 22, 2020 at noon. The Simcoe Farmers’ Market will be open on Thursday December 24th from 8:00 a.m. until noon only. By popular demand, the Simcoe Farmers’ Market is once again partnering with Kaley’s Restaurant to offer a Holiday Menu that can be ordered as part of the Simcoe Farmers’ Market Online Market. Kaley is offering a choice between roast beef or turkey and orders are needed by Wednesday December 16th for pick-up Wednesday December 23rd between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Farmers’ Market on South Drive in Simcoe. Drive Thru Food Drive on Saturday, November 21st, from 10am-Noon, at the Aud, Norfolk County Fairgrounds. Please load your non-perishable donations in your trun...k or back seat. Once you get to the parking lot, a volunteer will direct you to the unloading area. A volunteer will then take your donation out of your vehicle. No need to leave your vehicle. Volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves. 100% of all donations will go directly to Norfolk County Food Banks. Can't make it on the 21st? The Barrel Restaurant has a donation box at their restaurant, where you can drop off your non-perishable donations. This event is sponsored by Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show and the Simcoe Reformer. Sadly this year, due to Covid, we weren't allowed to have our annual Soup Luncheon that has helped so many in need, in Norfolk County. We want to do our part to help out this holiday season. Due to Covid, we aren't able to have the Holiday Soup Luncheon this year. This event, thanks to area restaurants, businesses and sponsors and those who supporte...d the event by coming out and enjoying soup, has raised over $300,000 since it started. 100% of all proceeds are donated to #local #foodbanks in Norfolk County. We feel the need will be greater this year and want to do our part to help those in need. We will be having a drive-thru Food Drive at the Aud on November 21st from 10am-noon. Donations will be taken out of the vehicle with safety precautions and we will also be accepting cash. You can also give us a cheque and you will get a receipt from the Food Bank of your choice, sent to you in the mail. Details are below and more information to follow.
