With the ongoing ups and downs of the controls imposed upon us here in North Bay, we are really uncertain IF we will be operating again the summer of 2021. Sure do hope we will be able to be creative and open.
A huge thank you to all of the hits on our FB page. Happy that folks are seeing and reaching out. Summer of 2021 is up in the air at the moment. Covid 19 needs to go away so we can get out our beautiful Carousel horses and refurbished trainsets. Keep your eyes peeled for news as it comes our way. Thanks again for your interest.

Well this has been a VERY challenging summer. We were unable to operate due to restrictions brought to us by covid-19. A sad summer for sure. We had geared up with some routine maintenance. The Ontario TSSA inspectors were unable to give us the green light, and out of concern for the health issues of many of our Sr. volunteers, and riders alike, the difficult decision was made. Soooooo We are so looking forward to summeor 2021. Sure do hope that we can bring laughter ...and smiles once again to youngsters of all ages. See you next year???? See more
The executive committee have come to a decision regarding the shut down of our Railway and Carousels for Summer 2020. Rules of social distancing, limited number of riders, cleaning and sanitizing all animals, horses, benches, common areas posts etc would be impossible to safely maintain. This decision is difficult, but felt necessary for the safety and protection of riders and volunteers alike. So we can look forward to summer 2021 to be able to restart this wonderful city attraction.
Thank you for visiting our Facebook page. We are still unsure if, when, or how we will be operating this summer. Social distancing rules will make it extremely hard to operate. Sanitizing the carousel, and trainsets will be a major undertaking. So, we ask for your understanding and know we are meeting often, and working hard planning to be able to operate this wonderful jewel on the North Bay waterfront.

As we head into a new year we once again look forward to our volunteering activities at the North Bay Railway and Carousel. But as always we need more volunteers. Several have "aged out" this year. Others have health issues and family commitments. So . . . . If you have 4 hours a week that YOU could volunteer with us, please pick up an application at the North Bay Museum. You too could get to share in the joy of seeing a youngster experience his or her very first carousel... or train ride. Or you can help a senior enjoy their merry go round ride after some 60 years. Please consider joining us volunteering this summer. And we would wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See more
