Today, Steelworkers honour the 29th anniversary of the Westray Mine disaster and the 26 Westray miners who never made it home that day. We also honour all worke...rs who die or become disabled due to employers who refuse to provide healthy and safe workplaces. Now more than ever, we need to protect vulnerable, essential workers. We will continue to push for negligent employers to face criminal charges until they realize that the lives of workers are not a cost of doing business.
