Joe Hauser has been taking guitar lessons from Dave Curran for about a year now and has just started taking drums with Dave Perry. This was his first PAYING gig!... Way to go Joe!

Band rehearsal for the Shore Things at our Hay Bay Napanee location. Bring your band in for some extra help to improve your performance even if you are already playing gigs. Dave will assist with changing arrangements to show off the strengths of your band members while downplaying any weaknesses to make you sound the best that you can. He can also help with putting harmonies together to make your band more dynamic. North Shore Music thanks John M. Parrott Centre for inviting the North Shore Christmas Music singers back for another show yesterday. We hope all the residents had as much fun as we did! The kids had a ball! We look forward to next year. Maybe the kids will sing a song on their own.

Written By: Bryan Feland, Dave Perry, and Marie Perry Performed By: Peacekeepers Canada Cares was written on the Thanksgiving weekend in 1988 when Bryan came to our home with a song idea to thank Canadian troops for what they do. His inspiration came from the overseas entertainment tours he participated on.... We sat down, collaborated, and Bryan, Dave, and Marie wrote Canada Cares. It was not until the Yellow Ribbon Support Our Troops rallies during the Gulf War that our song gained recognition. Marie took the cassette tape to the rally being held in Oshawa and handed it over to CHOO Radio and stood back to watch. It became clear that they were listening and just a few minutes later they played Canada Cares over the loud speakers of the CHOO van. Later that evening, Dave and Marie received a phone call from CHOO asking permission to play Canada Cares over the air! Of course they said yes and then contacted Bryan to let him know. We sang Canada Cares at all the rallies held in what is now the GTA, made the news every time, and were proud to be able to sing at the big welcome home rally in Toronto at Nathan Phillips Square. The video is poppies and two pictures taken at the Welcome Home Ceremony for the troops at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. The war was over and we were finally able to say yes to our son's request to sing with us, after all, his Grampa served in WWII.

CANADA CARES This song was written many years ago by Bryan Feland, Dave Perry, and Marie Perry to show support and give thanks to our troops and veterans. Today is Remembrance Day, November 11th. Please give it a listen and reflect on everything these men and women have done to make sure we live in freedom.... Thank you!

Talk about dedication! The Shore Things went ahead with band rehearsal this afternoon. Charlie came to pick up Dave and they made it up the driveway. No way was the car coming in LOL. John Sanzo, the bass player, came in all the way from Tweed in this storm.

The Shore Things entertained family and friends, for the first time, on Canada Day 2018. On a day that was 33 degrees with a humidex of 40, it was so hot and humid that both The Things and the audience cooked in more ways than one. That didn't stop everyone from enjoying the performance however. Debbie Dart sang most of the tunes and played guitar and tambourine.
