The University of North Texas Brass Band will be making an appearance together with members of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, the Brass Band Summer School, the Dallas Brass Band and Downshire Brass, and I’ll be joining Robert Childs and James Fountain for a couple of duets with Chris Williams and Lucy Murphy at the piano. The concert will also feature collaborations with other fantastic musicians, friends, students and family to bring the curtain down on what has undoubtedly been a challenging year. Sad news for this year’s NABBSS course, but we’ll be back in 2021. We wish all our delegates, staff, and friends at the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo and Besson Brass Buffet Crampon all the very best during this difficult time. Stay safe y’all.

As the dust settles on the sixth North American Brass Band Summer School and we plan for next year’s event, we’d like to thank all that made it possible this year. It’s a wrap! The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo and #nabbss2019 has ended. What a great course we’ve had! Delighted with the reception we received from a large and appreciative audience at last night’s benefit concert for St Matthew’s. Impressive solos from the tutors and a stunning performance from the band under guest conductor, Nicholas Childs. Our final RNSIT show is now underway!
