TREASURE & AMNESTY DAYS POSTPONED Due to the current Provincial Stay at Home Order, the Township has decided to postpone Treasure Day (originally to be May 8th) and Amnesty Day (originally May 22nd) until further notice. Watch our website and Facebook page for updates.
Edit: January 4th - Flood completed for this evening, if possible to stay off the ice for the night it would be appreciated!!! There are still some spots that need some TLC we will try and have them fixed up for the weekend, the plan is to flood every night this week at 4:30!!! Rink is READY! Thank you Dean, Amy and volunteers. ... The Township has posted the ground rules for Covid safety. Please obey or we risk having the rink shut down. Play safe and have fun!

DONATE YOUR BOTTLES & CANS The South Grenville Food Bank needs our help. The Food Bank serves 5.6% of the population who live right here in South Grenville - th...at's over 1,000 individuals in Augusta, Prescott & Edwardsburgh-Cardinal. Nearly 40% of them are children under 17. They are inviting residents to help by donating your alcohol bottles and cans to the "Bottles for Babies" program next time you're at either of our Transfer Stations. This program helps supply diapers, formula and baby food to those in need. Only allowed takeout at this time we will be continuing our specials through out the week. We have always continued to do our specials just didn’t advertise as ...much when the dinning room was open due to staff shortage. We have scallop potatoes, ham and beans, lasagna and shepherds pie (frozen) prices are $12-$15. We will also be doing a bake day Thursday January 7th. FOOD DRIVE The South Grenville Food Bank needs our help. The Food Bank serves 5.6% of the population who live right here in South Grenville - that's over 1,000 ...individuals in Augusta, Prescott & Edwardsburgh-Cardinal. Nearly 40% of them are children under 16. The Food Drive will take place October 7-10 from 9-4 pm at the locations listed on the poster. The Food Bank is also able to take donations by e-Transfer - a safe & easy way to donate. GARDENERS - were you able to 'plant a row, grow a row' for the Food Bank this year? TRAILS & ICE RINK UPDATE Currently only the new rink in North Augusta (8103 Main Street) is ready to use. Face coverings and physical distancing from those out...side your household are required at all times. A maximum of 10 people can be on the ice at one time. Team sports such as hockey are not permitted. NOTE: the volunteers looking after the rink plan to flood it each night this week at 4:30 pm to fix up a few spots. We'll post updates on the rinks at MERC, Maynard and Cedar Park as they become available.

It seems that our Spooky Stable is a go for Halloween! My plan is to offer a walk through one of our barns that will be decorated for Halloween! If anyone reme...mbers Hatch’s garage on Branch road we will be using some of that stuff thanks to Shawn Hatch. It will be scary! I’d like to make the entrance fee a non perishable food item to be donated to the South Grenville Food Bank. I would also like to invite high school students to come volunteer with set up or dress up on the day to be part of the show! You could be eligible for student volunteer hours Anyone in the village who would rather not have trick or treaters come to their door can donate candy! And if anyone would like to help decorate or dress up you are more than welcome to! See more

Last night I had the honor of presenting these firefighters with their service awards. Deputy Chief Chad Davis, Captains Jeff Sloan and Richard Malanka with 15 ...years. Firefighters Brad Porter, Tim MacDonald, Darcy Dejong and Brandon Worden with 5 years. COVID has changed so many things in all of our lives, but we can't forget to celebrate our achievements, even if we are forced to celebrate differently.
