It's almost that MAGICAL TIME OF YEAR folks! In preparation for the upcoming Christmas season at Northcote, we would like to reach out to you for your feedback. How many of you would be in favour of a visit with Santa outside and with full support and adherence of RCDHU COVID-19 guidelines? We would make sure that Santa was safe and that he arrived on a beautifully decorated sled or wagon. We would also make sure that Santa's helpers had goody bags and treats for his visitors.... Well...fall is officially here! We would like to thank all of you that participated in our Fall Vendor Fair on the 19th. We had beautiful weather and a fabulous turn-out. It was wonderful to see all of our friends and neighbours again! Now that school has started back up again (either in or out of the home), many of you are looking for ideas to keep the little ones busy and entertained while "classes" are in session with the older kids.... How about putting together a BUSY BIN?! These budget-friendly and easy-to-make sensory bins are the perfect solution for boredom. Keep your kids stimulated and interested while using up non-perishables like rice, beans and pasta from the pantry...and old small toys that may be missing pieces or may have turned up under a couch cushion during cleaning. MEET A VENDOR! Gary and Marlene from BEEDEW FARMS will be joining us this weekend at our Fall Vendor Fair selling delicious honey, dish cloths, blankets and mitts. Gary's honey is well-known in the Ottawa Valley for it's beautiful colour, texture and flavour. It's perfect on toast, as a glaze for a Thanksgiving or Christmas ham and stirred with a wee bit of rum for a delicious 'Hot Toddy'.
