Fireworks (which includes cannon-crackers, fireballs, firecrackers, mines, Roman Candles, sky-rockets, squibs, torpedoes, and such other explosives) can only be used in North Cowichan with a valid fireworks permit. The Municipality has four waste water treatment facilities; two extended aeration secondary treatment plants; a complete mix aerated lagoon treatment plant with tertiary treatment for phosphorous removal, and a tertiary membrane-type treatment plant.
