Christmas Eve it was on fire, and today it is new.

Our on call crew was thankful for a quiet Christmas Day. Boxing Day will probably not be as quiet. One hot water heater change out done, and still half of the day to go. We keep residential water heaters in stock, so we have them available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so when can replace them when yours decides to start leaking.

On December 22nd we got a call to check out a boiler system in High Level, found out the boiler needed to be replaced. December 23rd we sourced a boiler in Edmonton, and made sure it made the truck so we would have it the next morning. This morning we received the boiler, removed the old one and got new one installed and operational by 2:00PM this afternoon. Less than 48hours after the issue was found, a brand new boiler was up and operational even though it was Christmas Eve. That is what we call service. The pictures below are of the new boiler installed.

The inside looks a little different with all the scaffold taken down, the supply air on the outside got done today as well. One more day to go once the scaffolding comes down.

Out with the old and in with the new. The old boiler was 70% efficient, this new one is 95% efficient. It services three slab zones (garage, and 2 basement floor zones). If all you have is slab zones, condensing boilers are the answer, with next to no cycling during calls for heat. The modulating burner shines in this application. This is a system we finished today.
