The high today is +7C. 2021 MEMBERSHIP As COVID-19 is not allowing us to meet, the Executive is pleased to announce that the membership fee for this year will be waived. It was identified that not all members may be comfortable using Zoom or do not have reliable internet. Hopefully next year we will be able to again in person at w...hich time the club will resume collecting the membership fee. MARCH MEETING The monthly meeting will begin at 730 PM on Tuesday March 2. Chance Prestie is our guest speaker and he will be doing a presentation about his fishing adventures ins Saskatchewan and abroad. If you have never heard Chance talk before you are in for a treat. Chance fishes more days in a year than most of us fish over a 5 year time span. As Chance has fished every corner in the province and than some, he can likely answer any question you may have about your favourite fishing spot. I have sent out the link for the March 2 Zoom meeting. Remember that the club is using the free version of Zoom. This means that after 40 minutes the meeting ends and all you need to do is resign into the link. The meeting length is for 2 hours from 730-930. When we met to discuss the Eagleback Lake project some members were having problems signing into Zoom. Hopefully this won’t happen for the March meeting. As a result our meeting will be cancelled for April 6. Because of COVID-19 the Kilpatrick’s are unable to host another Fly Fishing Jamboree this year so they are getting Brian Chan as a guest speaker for the April 20th Zoom meeting. This will be about a 2 hour presentation and Brian will speak on chironomid fishing Stillwater. To help cover the cost of having Brian speak, the Northern Waters Flyfishers will cover the cost of our members who participate. Once further details become available as how to participate in this Zoom meeting it will be shared with you. This a fantastic opportunity to learn about a fishing technique that many of us overlook. EAGLEBACK LAKE PROJECT February 11 club members had a very good discussion regarding the KIlpattrick’s proposal for an aeration project on Eagleback Lake. The outcome of the meeting is that the Northern Waters Flyfishers are supportive of the Kilpatrick’s proposal. See the attached letter for details.
