Arch Windows Arch or large radius windows include a half-circle usually with a window or door below. These large arches can also add contrast to the traditional rectangular shape. Many options, including, fixed windows, and or moving ones can be added below to make a very nice presentation. These large arches also allow more natural light to come into the home and are traditionally above eye level. Glass Doors... Glass doors can really increase the light and the vertical inlet allows lots of light to come into the home as well as allowing the homeowner to see who or what is on the other side. This glass is generally manipulated to look blurred. Most people think when windows have condensation that it is an issue with the windows. We are here to tell you that this is your windows doing their job. By replacing your windows you are creating a tighter seal in turn retains more humidity. Before your windows are replaced there are cracks and leaks that mix with the humid air that actually lower your humidity levels. By installing new windows this is no longer allowing those drafts in and create higher humidity.... Simple day to day tasks also contribute to the rise of humidity such as cooking bathing/showering,and laundry. We recommend leaving the bathroom fan running for an hour after each shower. Some homeowners do leave it running 24 hours. This can be very helpful when the outside temperatures drop. By having larger plants, even fish tanks, and hanging clothes to dry can help lower those levels. Here are a few more helpful tips to help lower the humidity in your home: * Turn the kitchen fan on when doing any cooking or boiling * Leave all doors to bedrooms, bathrooms to help air flow throughout the home. *Lifting all blinds and opening all curtains during lower temperatures. * Leaving the furnace fan running, and making sure all hot and cold air vents are not covered and open
