At Northern, we sometimes forget the impact of what we do every day. We play a very quiet yet important role in providing peace of mind to grieving families and friends. I was reminded if this yesterday when I delivered the custom urn for retired, career Northern Casket team member Rolly Nichols. A special thanks to Kevin Korz for taking this project on and nailing it. We all long for the day when we can congregate together once again in a show of support to families and to honour those who've passed before us. Nothing can replace the warm embrace of a caring supporter.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario is advising families to notify Funeral Homes immediately when they've lost a loved one during the covid19 crisis, as Funeral Homes are now mandated to ensure that the transfer of the deceased is completed within 1 hour of receiving notification from the family.
