Congratulations Iliana Harvey for winning the first Northern ICE Sports Giveaway! Lliana and her son Coehn won a free hour of ice by correctly guessing the movie FootLoose in a recent post celebrating the first figure skaters at Northern ICE! Northern ICE will be continuing with random give aways and competitions as an expression of our gratitude to everyone who has supported our crazy adventure!... Skate on! We are super excited to have just sent out the following email to participants in the first Northern ICE Sports winter program starting January 4th. Please note we have modified the timing from our original poster so please have a good looksee. ... And we still have room for those last minute type Thank you so much Prince George for your support! Email Thank-you for registering your child in Northern Ice Sports Powerskating and modified Game with Shawn Gendron: Please note that during the first week both ice times will be powerskating (if you are registered in game only you are WELCOME to attend both sessions the first week). All ice time is Monday AND Wednesday, at the same time, please see your child’s times below. Levels are based on DOB, but do not always match. Shawn or Chris would have spoken to you if your child is not in their DOB level. 4:00 pm 2013/14/15 5:00 pm 2012 6:15 pm 2010/2011 7:30 pm 2006-09 * all ice times will be approximately 1 hour **All ice is at Northern Ice Sports (in the PGGCC) Please remember there are no spectators at the current time. Competition closes at 1500 today (January 3rd) and we will figure out the winner! Stay tuned for future opportunities to win ice! ....and there is a time to dance.... Sending off 2020 seems a good reason to dance and so does celebrating the first figure skates to carve up Northern ICE! And since we are celebrating we thought we would have a little bit of fun and give one lucky family a chance to win a one hour pass to Northern ICE! HELP! Northern ICE Sports is looking for your help to help with an oops.... We caught wind that there was a rumour our youth development power skating and 3 on 3 was charging out at $34-35 an ice time and that’s just wrong... We think a draft schedule was posted that was wrong and it’s come back to bite us in the Northern ICE youth programs were designed to be aligned with current offerings and that puts us at about $25 a session and also includes our season ending FREE tourney! We also have a 15% discount for families enrolling 3 or more. And although we encourage both the skill development and 3 on 3 we are providing the option to participate in either or - whatever works for you! So as we freely admit - it takes a community to support an ice rink - and we are looking for your help to make sure the right info is out there. Thanks a bunch!

Up Up and Away!! On Dasher, on Dancer.... Not sure if that’s Santa’s or Superman’s line but I know a guy that reminds me of both and it just makes me want to break out in song... Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Norman Garfield, right from Cat Rental Store... Norm is one of my hero’s in disguise. His dedication to his family is amazing and he is one of the proudest papas I know. Norm is the Branch Manager at The Cat Rental Store and he has enabled Northern ICE Sports to reach some lofty heights through donating a scissor lift from day 1. The support has been amazing and we are super grateful to have such an amazing supporter, friend, hero. Crazy positive karma and the amazing generosity of friends we didn’t know... Yup. The Prince George business community continues to amaze in its support of Northern ICE Sports and we are eternally grateful! WeldCor Supplies North and Ryan Yorston deserve full kudos and applause from Northern ICE Sports.... Ryan was one of the first guys to cold call us to express support and to congratulate us on the new business. Since then Ryan and WeldCore have been by our side and supported us with ice rentals, advertising, and as our propane supplier for our beautiful Betty the Zamboni.
