Hi everyone! I have some exciting news to share with you all. Coming August 2020, Northern Knots Massage Therapy will be sharing space with Bradley Dundas, Osteopathic Practitioner M.O.M.Sc. Bradley will be taking on new clients starting as early as August 11th, 2020. Direct billing through Blue Cross available. Bradley is a recent transplant to Nova Scotia from Ontario, where he graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy with a Master of Osteopathic Manual Science (M...OMSc.) in 2012, meeting the World Health Organizations Benchmarks for Training in Osteopathy. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Western Ontario. Bradley achieved registration as a Cardiology Technologist and received training as an Autopsy Master while working at the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). Bradley is a member of Osteopathy Canada and the Ontario Osteopathic Association and his services are recognized by all third-party health care insurance plans in Nova Scotia. Hi everyone! Unfortunately, I have some sad news. Jeff will no longer be working at Northern Knots Massage Therapy due to unforeseen circumstances. It was a pleasure getting to know him and although I'm sad to see him go, I'm happy he is doing what is best for him and his family! I'm officially reopening on June 13th (as long as I have my PPE in time)! Here are some protocols that will be implemented at the clinic with my clients safety & health in mind: 1. I will be wearing a mask throughout the entirety of your visit. Clients will be required to wear a clean, unused mask while you are lying face up during treatment. If you dont have one, one will be provided for you for a $2 fee. 2. Clients will be asked to wash their hands before and after you en...ter the treatment room. 3. Clients will be emailed an online Covid-19 screening that is to be done within 24 hours of your appointment. Failure to do so will result in an appointment cancellation. Screenings must be done before entering the premises, as mandated by the Nova Scotia Government. Therefore, same day booking will not be permitted at this time. Clients will also be screened upon arrival. 4. I will be keeping the doors locked in between treatments, to limit traffic in the clinic. Please wait in your vehicle until your allotted appointment time. 5. Please pay with debit, credit or e-transfer. Please refrain from using cash at this time. 6. Everything will be done online including sending your receipts or insurance claims. If you need a paper copy, please let me know. 7. Please keep a safe distance of 6ft until you enter the treatment area. 8. If you have any of the following symptoms that are NEW OR WORSENING please refrain from booking in at this time. If I notice that you have any of these symptoms during your appointment, you will be asked to leave and to report to 8-1-1 for further instructions. This includes: Cough Fever, Sweat, Chills Headache Muscle Aches Sneezing Nasal congestion or runny nose Hoarse voice Diarrhea Unusual fatigue Loss of taste or smell Red, purple, blueish lesions on the feet, toes or fingers without clear issue Sore throat Shortness of breath 9. There will be no cancellation fees incurred at this time. I ask that you try to provide 24hrs notice if you need to cancel your appointment as usual. Thank you for your understanding and patience as I try to navigate through this "new normal". The health and safety of my clients are my upmost priority and there will be a strict sanitization protocol between appointments. To my valued clients, It's with a heavy heart that I make this announcement. I have decided to close the clinic until further notice. Nova Scotia Health and Wellness Department is requiring businesses to give social distance of 6 ft. Unfortunately, in this field of work that is not possible. This decision was not taken lightly. Many of my clients are elderly and/or immunocompromised and their health is my top priority. I feel that this decision, albeit tough, is the right thi...ng to do. There have been many unknown factors along the way, and as a self-employed person this will take an incredible toll. However, I cannot continue being open knowing I could put others at risk. Are you taking control of your wellness? I often hear people talk about not having enough time to eat the way they should or exercise. If we always put off our health until we "have time" (likely you won't), we will never put ourselves as a priority. My intention this year was all about routine. Scheduling in my agenda all the things I need to do in my day and making sure to schedule time for myself to exercise, make healthy meals and rest. If you schedule it in, it's likely you will actually do it. You might even find by organizing your day you have more than enough down time.
