Good morning Northern Ontario. We agree with our friends in the south.

Open everything up now. The lockdown is not guided by science, it seems instead like its being guided by the notion that government wants to keep everyone locked down until numbers drop low enough, so that it looks like the lockdown actually worked. Politicians should not be so arrogant. To continue to cause harm to so many individuals that are hurt by the lockdown, simply to try to make it look like their policy worked is brutal.

Yesterday, again on the radio news, I hear Doug Ford desperately trying to justify his ban on golf and outdoor activities, by saying: It's not the golf thats the problem, I have buddies that wanna golf. It's the getting together before or after for a couple pops (beers) that's the problem, its the mobility thats the problem, not the golf. How much more discriminatory, ridiculous, and non-scientific can he get? By that logic, he then should shut down grocery stores, or an...y possible human action which might mean that you would run into your neighbour and have a visit. He better shut down grocery stores too, and put locks on the outsides of the doors of all of our houses too, so we can't be mobile at all. "Indeed, not a single known case of casual outdoor transmission has been documented in the entire world" The Ford government's prohibition against all kinds of outdoor activities is completely nonsensical, and is NOT based on science. What is it based on? Preventing folks from seeing just how many people would protest the restrictions otherwise? Trying to harm people that like outdoor activities just as much as they are harming people who like indoor activities to make su...re everyone is "equally" harmed? Those are rhetorical questions, but the truth is that their edicts haven't made sense for a long time - its time to #FireFordOpenOntario Again, it's been known for a long time that outdoor transmission is negligible, so what did Dr. Chirico base his illogical bans of outdoor rinks and snowmobile trails on? He sure seems to like using magic science eh! In keeping with our plan to outline positive alternatives, we would never have locked you down. Never would have banned protests of the government. Never would have harmed the mental health of children so significantly by taking away so many of their activities. At the very least the Health Unit and the city should be refunding Mr. Easton for the costs of his liability insurance, inspections and permits that he was required to attain when he thought, as a reasonable person would have, that he would be able to offer a service to snowmobilers this winter. https://www.nugget.ca/n/food-cart-operator-out-in-the-cold
