The Northern Portugal Cultural Centre sends sincerest condolences to the family of Paulo Teixeira. Sr. Teixeira was a longtime member of our club, former committee member and friend, who will be sadly missed. Below is a short obituary written by his daughter Cristina. ------ Paulo Teixeira passed away peacefully at Casa de Repouso de N.Senhora do Amparo, in Arrifana on February 13th. He was laid to rest on February 20th in his town’s cemetery of Zambujal, Condeixa-a-Nova, P...ortugal. He was one of the first and original members of the Portuguese Club in Oshawa, holding various positions in the administração of both club(s). Sr. Paulo was a very proud Portuguese-Canadian and loved being part of the community. He was a GM retiree and enjoyed his retirement years traveling between Portugal and Canada. To us he was ‘Pai’. To his beloved grandchildren Adrian, Paul and Victoria he was ‘Vôvô’. He adored each of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them and doing whatever activities they wanted him to participate in. He will be remembered with loving and fond memories and will be missed every single day.
