The research lead, Ley Fraser, needs your input! If you are comfortable with participating, we encourage you to go ahead and take this survey-- You don't know who it may help! The Speak OUT survey is a national Canadian survey about the personal experiences of LGBTQI2S youth (14-24) with dating violence, healthy relationships, and support services. If you would like to take part in this survey please follow the link: https://egale.ca/egale-in-action/speak-out-national-survey"

Tomorrow, November 20th, is the Transgender Day of Remembrance. This event will be held by Inspiring Women Among Us and GenderOutlines, to memorialize those killed due to transphobic intention and bring awareness to the transphobic violence that still occurs today. It will take place at the Omineca Art Centre at 6 PM and is open to everybody.
A big thanks to our emcee, Wil Fundal! It wouldn't have been the same without you. Thanks for coming out!

Welcome to all new and returning students! The Northern Pride Centre is hard at work polishing up our programming for this year, and we cant wait to share all the awesome things we have planned for the coming months. First on our list is the Services Fair in the Telus Wintergarden from 1:00pm-5:00pm, where we will be tabling. Henry has also set up a welcome committee in the Pride Centre (6-344 in NUSC), so feel free to drop in and say hi!

Hello folks! As some of you know, Prince George Pride is coming up on Saturday, July 7th. After much discussion, we have made the decision to not attend the parade as an organization due to member attendance constraints. We know that this may be disappointing to some members but fret not! Those that can are still personally excited to attend PG Pride, so if you are as pumped as we are, message Prince George Pride and direct your excitement their way! See you there! --Braughn
Hello folks! As some of you may know, the Northern Pride Centre is closed for most of the summer. However, if you would like to meet with someone from the Northern Pride Centre to access resources or discuss Northern Pride Centre-related matters, please email us at [email protected]. We hope you are enjoying your summer, and cannot wait to continue our work with you when regular hours resume in the Fall!
Here is this weeks schedule. There will be no activities and the PC hours will be irregular next week because of reading break.

We are happy to announce Jade Mah as our new President! You probably know Jade from events and volunteer emails. Jade is already organizing and delegating and is a wonderful fit for the position. Congratulations Jade!
Hi friends, Krystal here. After many years of being with the Pride Centre and in many different roles, Im sad to say I am leaving Prince George. I started out as a volunteer with the Pride Centre as a closeted kid the first year it opened and stuck around to become that head strong president you know today. The PC played a huge role in who I came to be as a person from helping me find my career path, to deciding what Im passionate about, to fighting adversity, figuring out ...leadership skills, and amazing friendships. I truly cannot express my gratitude for these last years. Thank you. Im extremely proud of what the Pride Centre has become. A safe space that people on campus and in the community reach out to us for education and advocacy on lgbtq issues. This couldnt have been done without the many volunteers that have come and gone throughout the years. You all make the PC what it is. We are such a valuable resource and it makes me so happy that people continue keeping the PC strong. And I know that the PC will continue to thrive with the wonderful set of people we have. Ill announce our new president in a seperate post so not to take away from them. I hope to stop by for Pride in the summer and Im still available on my personal Facebook account if you need me or want to chat. I love you all and will miss you greatly. For the last time, Krystal Vandenberg
Hey everyone, after looking through the constitution, we will be having presidential succession at our collective meeting. Yes, this is fast but Id like the transition to be smooth and not to just disappear without proper turnover. Its also written in our constitution that this can happen. This leaving thing is happening pretty fast on my end. If you wish to nominate yourself as PC president, email us, message us, or show up at 4pm on Thursday! See you then! -Krystal
Hi friends! We have a collective meeting this Thursday (Jan 18) at 4pm. Our two big items are the financial report and presidential succession. Thats right, Krystal is leaving us to pursue their career

Hi everyone! Hope January is off to a good start! What would you like to see from the NPC this coming semester? How can we make your experience better? All suggestions welcome!

The NPC may have less people in it around 1pm as many of us are headed to the SPCA for stress relief. Due to limited seating, we cannot offer anymore rides but if you drive or take transit, feel free to join us. If you are in crisis and need someone from the PC, please call our President Krystal at 250-981-6019. Thank you.
