A little late to the party, but I had to share these adorable trees I made over Christmas! These were part of the items I made for my first craft show and were a major hit! I did this set in a distressed white instead of my usual solid stain and I’m so glad I did! They looked great at the in-laws along with everyone’s stockings. So this is christmas And what have you done Another year over A new one just begun. And so this is christmas... I hope you have fun.... And so this is 30. I won’t say entering my third decade on this crazy world has been easy. Yes, I am grateful for everything and everyone supporting me. Yes, I know I’m still young. -And yes, I know it’s just a number. This year, I have mixed feelings about my birthday. -I’m growing as a person, much more this year than any other. I’m also growing older. -I’m finally passionate about something and turning my dead-end outlook towards the open road. I’m also terrified of what that entails. -I’m surrounded by support, but also surrounded by the ache of mourning this time of year. I’ve learned that growth takes time and that you’re rewarded if you just put in the work. This year I have learned I have limits physically, mentally and emotionally. I’ve learned that perfection is only how you perceive it to be. Which is why instead of taking 1000 pictures for the perfect picture, I settled for the first and only picture I took...which accurately depicts the fact that even when I’m content, resting bitch face is real and my dog is obsessed with wherever I am. Also, don’t judge my calligraphy. I haven’t touched the how-to book and million practice pages I ordered 2 years ago. This year was tough. But I am tougher. 1 Week until Christmas ! How ready is everyone? I know this year we can’t all be with our families, and even if you don’t celebrate, we can still make the most of the holiday season by reflecting on 2020, and moving forward through New Years to a (hopefully) much better year. This year I’m thankful for my family in good health, gaining some confidence to share my passions, and growing my mindset even through this stupid a** pandemic.
