CARP 07.11.2020

Following the CARP BC chapter presentation on October 1st, we would like to continue the conversation about the crisis in long-term care. COVID-19 has helped shine a light on the many challenges happening in Long-term Care (LTC) in Canada. More people are willing to talk now! Let's keep the conversations going so that we can do what we can to encourage our governments to make changes now. Anyone can join either session. (Family members; frontline professionals; managers; conc...erned citizens; policy makers.) Two session dates have been created to help with scheduling so that we can listen to you and collect your concerns. (Oct 13th at 5pm Pacific Time & Oct 17th at 10:30am Pacific Time for up to 1.5 hours for each session) Choose which session works best for you. You don't need to join both sessions. Please come prepared with your top 3 - 5 concerns to share with us. Try to make them as concise as you can. (We may use the breakout rooms depending on group size.) We will be collecting all the concerns and will then invite you back for another session to hear your solutions to these concerns/challenges. Click or copy the Zoom link to join when it's meeting time. Don't forget the passcode! Join Zoom Meeting for either event: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83161891710... What are your thoughts? Should Canada’s more than 8 million informal caregivers, who provide an estimated 80% of care needed by seniors at home, be given the support they need to return to work?

If you are age 55 or over and currently living in Canada you are invited to participate in a study about your experiences with COVID-19. It explores any pandemic-related stressors you may be experiencing, issues you are facing regarding healthcare, and any actions you have taken toward planning for future care. Information will be collected through a confidential online survey that will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. https://www.surveymonkey.ca/r/covidacpsurvey
