COVID-19 To our patients: This week, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 (coronavirus) disease a global pandemic. Risk of contagion remains low in Manitoba, but we should be vigilant and do what we can to prevent the spread of illness and protect one another.... What We’re Doing: The safety and health of our employees and patients is our top priority. As such, effective immediately we are asking any employee to stay home at the first sign of illness (fever, cough, sore throat, etc.) We’re asking any patient with signs of illness to please reschedule their appointment(s). Patients who present with any symptoms of illness will be asked to reschedule their appointment(s). In case of an emergency, please discuss the situation with your dentist. We will evaluate on a case by case basis. Cancellation fees due to illness or suspected illness will be waived for the time being. Hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes are available; please use them as needed during your visit. Our team will also be wiping down common areas throughout the day. What’s Next? We will be monitoring guidance and recommendations from public health authorities closely. In the meantime, we remind you that the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face. April 30th, 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE: Yesterday Manitobans received a heartening message from our Premier: the announcement of the multi-phased reopening of many businesses to kick start our economy is welcomed news for all. Our team at Northgate Dental Centre has missed seeing you and can't wait to see your smiles again! Visiting your dentist will be different than it was before. Under the guidance of the Manitoba Dental Association and Shared Health Manitoba, dental services wi...ll be reintroduced in stages and with new procedural guidelines. Those guidelines are yet to be determined. We, at Northgate Dental Centre, will strive to do all we can to take care of our patients and team safely as we learn more. As we prepare for our return, we continue to offer our services for dental emergencies. As always, we take the well being of our patients and team very seriously and are committed to upholding the same high safety standards and protocols you have come to expect from us. April 6th, 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE: We are sorry to inform you that in light of the pandemic, our office is CLOSED TEMPORARILY and are only managing true dental emergencies (ie. acute pain unmanageable by OTC meds., swelling, uncontrollable bleeding and trauma) by pharmaceutical means or advice over the phone or by email. OUR DOORS WILL BE LOCKED AND WE NO LONGER WILL BE SEEING PATIENTS IN PERSON UNTIL WE RESUME NORMAL OPERATIONS... We are working with minimal staff and limited hours...we will try to respond to voicemails and emails as soon as possible, but delays can be expected. We are not sure when we will open again, please visit the website regularly to stay up to date.
