The opening of the reservation line for the Chilkoot Trail 2021 hiking season (June 1- Sept 13) will be delayed until at least April 2021. The Chilkoot Trail Na...tional Historic Site team is working towards having measures in place that will allow the trail to open in some capacity while keeping visitors and staff safe. Rare bird alert! HAWFINCH. Bird nerds flocked to Haines Junction last week to spot the first Canadian record of a Hawfinch. The species lives across Central Eu...rope and Asia and this one was 6,000 km out of range!
