May we have your attention please for the third of five 2020 PROVINCIAL VOLUNTEER AWARD WINNERS! This award is presented to an OFSC Snowmobile Family in r...ecognition of exceptional achievement in one or more of the following areas: Participation Development, Rider Experience, Volunteerism and/or Partnership Development. The Kivell Family of the Stoney Keppel Riders (OFSC District 9) jumped feet first into the organized snowmobiling world and truly reflect the hearts of volunteers across the entire organization. What started with ‘Dad’ volunteering quickly turned into ‘kids’ following suit; offering to take on sections of trails, ensuring stakes were secured, replacing gates, and trimming the landscape by hand to ensure the best possible riding experience for local and visiting snowmobilers. It’s great to see the love of snowmobiling being passed down to the next generation. Thank you and congratulations to the Kivell Family! Please join us in thanking all of our hard working volunteers for their incredible dedication and valuable contributions to organized snowmobiling. Their efforts make it possible for local and visiting sledders to enjoy over 30,000 km of fantastic recreational snowmobiling. NRSA volunteers were hard at it today fighting the ongoing battle against beavers! Blocked culverts were the objective of the skirmish.....a skilled volunteer operator and just the right log to push through the culvert were the keys to success. Mission accomplished!

NRSA Volunteers bid farewell to their old faithful groomer today! It has been a great machine and done a super job for us. This 2014 Prinoth Husky will continue to make great trails as it moves to the southern end of the District.
