NSH AGM The NSH AGM will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at 7:00pm via Google Meets. As this is an online platform, we would like you to pre-register for the event if you plan on attending by sending an email with your name, and registered players name to [email protected]. A link with the Google Meet will be sent at a later date to those who register. Please be advised that there will be a limit of 250 people who can sign on, so North SEERA is asking that only 1 family member signs in with the link provided.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we finalize the 2020-2021 season. We are hoping to have all the refunds done in the next week or so. Cheques will then be mailed out and credits will be applied to players accounts. ... Thank you again, North SEERA Board.

FYI: Hockey Alberta has worked with both Hockey Canada and the Respect Group Inc. to facilitate an extension of the expiration dates for the Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP) and Respect in Sport Parent/Activity Leader Programs. Any parent, coach or team official that has valid certification in any of the above programs will have their expiration automatically extended by one year.... For HCSP, the certification will extend from three to four years. For RIS Parent and Activity Leader, the certification will extend from four to five years. These extensions will be reflected on an individual’s Hockey Canada Registry profile for HCSP & RIS Activity Leader and the child’s profile of which it is connected for RIS Parent. Because RIS is a multi-sport platform and this change is specific to Hockey Alberta, the extension will not be reflected in an individual’s RIS profile. This may affect any prerequisites currently set up through 3rd party registration platforms. For those with HCSP Level 2, an additional year may be granted but if any supplemental qualifications (Standard First Aid) have expired, valid documentation must be submitted with your application. These programs play significant roles in achieving Hockey Alberta’s mandate of providing a safe and fun environment for all participants. We are confident that a one-year extension to these programs will not impact these areas of our game and will provide a degree of financial relief to our parents, volunteers and Member Associations in what has been a challenging year on many levels. The North SEERA Board has released opt in/opt out options for the remainder of the season. Please check your email for details and complete the brief survey with regards to your players OPT IN/OPT OUT option and how we should process your families refund at the conclusion of the season. We need to know your players option as soon as possible, as players will be on the ice as early as Tuesday February 16th, and we need to determine groupings within each category. PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY BY FEBRUARY 15th at 1:00 pm.

Hello North SEERA Families, Once again we are in unprecedented times, and hockey has been cancelled for at least the next three weeks. During this time period there is to be no team events, including outdoor ice. Currently, pictures remain the only team function that is still permitted as the pictures can be held in a physically distanced and safe manner. Please keep yourself informed of the guidelines and restrictions, and let's try setting a great example for the community.... I know it can be difficult at times, especially given the weather, but it is up to you to keep your children motivated and active. There are so many activities that you can do during the winter, try and take advantage of it, and make the best to get out and have fun. Our family for one, have made a backyard rink and small sledding hill in which my daughter and son use on a daily basis. Hello NSH Families, North SEERA Hockey Society This afternoon, the Province released stricter measures to curb the Covid 19 virus. Hockey will be in a two-week shut down from November 13th through to November 27th. All Teams will cease all activities till after November 27th or further notice.... We are looking at this as a return to play in two weeks. We encourage everyone to help curb this situation by staying at home and staying safe. Hockey Edmonton is now making it MANDATORY that all coaches complete the Safe Return To Play Course. This is a 20 minute FREE course, this must be done by Wednesday November 11th. This is a mandatory requirement set by Hockey Edmonton. If coaches do not have this course completed by Wednesday they will be removed from the Roster and not permitted to take part for the rest of the season.
