Why We All Need Allies .... We can have dreams, and we can set our GPS (our North Star) to get there .... but the journey is just so much better when we have people with whom we can link arms.

In 1997, I envisioned a place where our daughter would one day live ... a place where there is a strong sense of community ... of supportive relationships, dive...rsity, reciprocity. I heard the term "co-housing" only about 7 years ago. About 3 years ago, I realized that this sense of community appeals to me, and is familiar to me, because it's how I grew up ... in a cooperative neighbourhood, here in Peterborough, where there was a true sense of being part of a larger family. I'm grateful that there is a group of people who are actively pursuing cohousing in Peterborough!!
