Had a great hike on the western side of the Churchill River to an area us locals call Johnson bay, which is located in Button bay. Our goal for this unique hike was to go visit the Ancient Inuit Tent Ring sites and Kayak Resting spots. As a added bonus we saw 6 Polar Bears!! Thanks Sea North Tours for the zodiac charter

As predicted, day two of our polar bear trip rapidly generated into a major blizzard but the weather is due to improve tomorrow. During the winter months, most animals that you see on the Canadian tundra are white. This includes polar bears, arctic foxes, arctic hares and ptarmigans (bird...s). Some animals stay white all year long, while others shed in the fall and then take on their white winter coloration.
