I am not surprised Northumberland - Peterborough South MPP David Piccini voted against the Ontario NDP motion. He has always towed the party line. He will never will vote against the party. I am however flabbergasted and appalled that he would side with someone that is so racist as Charles McVety. I hope voters in his riding remember this at election time. These Conservatives are enabling hate Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia.

Join guest host Sean McNeill this Saturday to discuss CLC's recent endorsement of former finance minister Bill Morneau to the OECD. Labour leaders and activists... have already condemned and distanced themselves from Hassan Yussuff's unilateral endorsement. Join us as we investigate how the CLC has come to be so divided at the top, to learn the political context in which this endorsement has occurred, and to imagine an alternative approach to political strategizing at the top of our union movement. Click the reminder button to be notified when the show starts.

Thursday September 17, 2020 Northumberland Peterborough South MPP David Piccini, along with 53 others Conservative MPPs, voted no to the NDP motion of capping class sizes at 15 students. NLC emailed MPP David Piccini with our concerns, and asking him why he voted NO. After several emails back and forth, and unable to meet, Northumberland Labour Council is making our email, Piccini's response, and our response public.

Today we wear orange shirt to remember the lives lost and those lives that were affected through the residential school system. More than 150,000 Indigenous children and youth were sent away to these residential schools, far away from their homes.
