Quite a few people have asked Jeff for his take on the leadership contest. Here are his thoughts. What do you think is the path forward for the Green Party?

Good point! If you want to help redirect our economic and political systems toward the public and ecological good, let us know! We're planning our long-delayed AGMs (watch for them in October, most likely online), and we could use a few good people (or a whole bunch!) who are willing to step into leadership roles in our local riding associations, provincial and federal. Our ideals are only as good as our ability to implement them, and that takes work! Please help share the load, we can do more together!

Just came across this article from January about four of Canada's latest Rhodes Scholars - and TWO of them are Greens, including our new interim International Affairs Critic Sai Shanthanand Ragajopal who ran for us in 2019. So refreshing to see scientists not just talking about public policy, but talking about putting evidence and ethics ahead of politics! https://www.theglobeandmail.com//article-canadian-rhodes-/

The challenges of climate change and pollution haven't gone away just because we've been in lockdown - but a lot of the funding and organization have been put on hold, maybe setting us back in our efforts to secure a safe and sustainable future. At the same time, the huge disruptions we're currently going through provide us with incredible opportunities for system change, and w...e shouldn't miss them! Here's an article outlining this problem, from the World Economic Forum: https://www.weforum.org//business-for-nature-protect-loss-

Discrimination of all kinds lives in Northumberland - Peterborough South. We need to be in a constant state of openness to the stories and criticisms of those who are discriminated against, and working to dismantle the systems that perpetuate inequality in our society. That means personal and collective work. Here are some resources to start with, but we know this is an ongoing process of growth and learning, so if you have anything to add, please do! http://greenpartynps.ca/the-green-party-supports-anti-raci/
