Double your gift with Behan Construction Behan Construction is ‘Rebuilding Northumberland County’ with a matching gift donation of $20,000 to support Northumberland United Way. From now until the end of December, Behan Construction will match all donations to Northumberland United Way up to $20,000, doubling the impact of your donation! We like to support United Way because it is neighbour helping neighbour. The money goes directly into supporting our community, helping... to improve the lives of those amongst us who need a hand up, says Tom Behan, President, Behan Construction. United Way has a long history of being well connected with a wide range of community contacts so they are in a strong position to determine the needs in this area and United Way knows how to best stretch the money for maximum effectiveness. We have a high level of confidence that our money is going to be put to good use by United Way. We are incredibly grateful to Behan Construction for stepping up to ‘Rebuild Northumberland County,’ says Bobbie Dawson, Executive Director, Northumberland United Way. Behan Construction has been a long-time supporter of United Way locally and we are so thankful for their continued generosity and commitment to helping people right here at home. #LocalLove #UnitedWay
MERRY CHRISTMAS! On the 12th day of the '12 Days of Good News,' we're celebrating YOU and this incredible community we call home. This has been a tough year, but we have seen our community step up in new ways to support those when they need it most. We love what we do and are proud to serve our community. Thank you to our supporters, donors and volunteers who recognize this commitment. Recently, we've been receiving a lot of great messages of gratitude and positivity for ...the work we do. And we want to share them with you because we could not do what we do without you - Thank you for the amazing, caring work you all do for our community!! You are truly valued!! - Thank you for all the great work you do - My husband and I moved to Northumberland County in March and are happy to be involved with Northumberland United Way in the future. - Thank you for what you do. As a child, United Way helped my family. I understand what a difference you are all making. - For years, our family has sat around a Christmas tree that was outshone by the pile of presents under the tree and have often said, "None of us NEEDS such decadence...we should skip the gift exchange and give to those who need it." Well, this year we did it...AND IT FELT GREAT! Happy Holidays to you and yours and from my heart, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thank you for these wonderful messages. They put a big smile on our faces. Wishing you a safe and happy holiday and all the best in 2021.
Merry Christmas from Northumberland United Way! Virtually sending you a wonderful day filled with the magic of the season. Stay safe Northumberland County.

We have an exciting announcement! Nurturing Health Naturopathic Clinic has officially signed on as our first #PeriodPromiseNorthumberland partner What does this mean? It means they are making a commitment to normalizing the conversation around menstruation and helping to make sure that everyone who experiences a period has access to products. "Periods are a normal and healthy part of life. They aren't wrong, they aren't gross, and they should never inhibit our ability to li...ve each day or reach our full potential. As a practitioner focusing in women's health - menstrual health and education is a passion of mine. Talking about it helps us learn about it. I am taking action to normalize the conversation around menstruation, and to ensure a future in Northumberland County where equal access to basic hygiene products is the norm, not the exception." - Kristi Prince, ND Are you interested in getting involved?
