This announcement comes with mixed emotions. After a 67 years of combined experience, we have officially sold the fly-in outposts that were apart of Patricia fly in camps. We no longer have the fly in outposts or the moose tags for 16b. We still have Northumbrian Resort, with the island on minnitaki, moose tags for 1c and 5 bear management areas. I would like to thank all our friends, guests past and present for all the stories, memories and laughs. Believe me, they will be cherished. Life changer! Not sure if I like it but, needed to be done. Take care.

Spring bear is just around the corner. As I believe that as most animals have their ruts based on the amount of day light, so do bears! Pretty soon they’ll be coming out of their dens and looking for food and long grass. Make sure you’re ready and your outfitter is ready! Call if looking for a last minute hunt, all sales are negotiable.

Looking out my window this morning and the snow is horizontal, hard to believe that walleye opener is only 94 days away.

First time bear that hunter harvested this big boar. The bear actually broke my 400lb scale when we tried to weigh it! The young fella in the pic literally went head over heels when we loaded the bear into the truck. Good times!

Want to catch big early female walleyes? Make sure you know where to go and what you’re doing. These 2 fish were caught using 2 completely different tactics. Knowing where to go is the most important tactic. We can help you with that. DM or call 807 7373580.

When it comes to hunting, you don’t always get a Boone and Crockett animal. A lot of outfitters promise you a big animal, but let’s be serious, that’s not realistic. If you listen to the outfitter and wait, your odds do Increase. Due to the fact that our resort is a generation run resort we’ve come to realize it’s better to be straight forward and not promise the world. Will you get a giant bear every time, no. Will you get a bear every time, no. Will you have an opportunity to harvest a bear with us, yes! Do we have big bear, yes!! Will I guarantee you will see a bear, yes!!! Hunting is so much more than the kill. It's the hundreds of days and hours in search of one single moment in time. It's miles put on the boots and sweat staining your camo. It's pushing yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's putting food on the table that you earned and respecting what it took to get it there. Lastly, it is paying respect to your game and reflecting on what it took to get where you are. This is why moments like these live forever as memories. These aren't my words but, pretty much sums everything up. Has been a great year, filled with great memories. Was happy to be part of every one.

Had a good night last night for what may be the last time fishing. Caught some quality fish.

Not a great pic but this is a 58 inch wide bull shot at carlin lake this year. Our widest to date! Looks like a 3.5-4.5 year old, would of been a giant next year.

Moose hunt is done. Here is the biggest we got. 50 inches. With the moose hunt finished comes the closing of camp. Thank you to all the guest who came this year to make it a fun season. Always enjoy talking with people who you get to know over the years
