Meadow Lake Christian School is currently seeking a half time Educational Assistant. This will be from 9 - 12 every school day. They are also looking for Certified Teachers and EAs to be added to their sub list. If you are interested or would like more information please email [email protected] or [email protected]. On Saturday, August 29th , at 7:30 pm, Jenn and Dwayne Voth will be having a physically distant fireside and prayer meeting in their back yard. They will be praying for our country, community, schools and each other. If you feel comfortable in joining them, they would love for you to attend. Please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. There will be no food or refreshments provided but feel free to bring your own water bottles. Children can play in a play area outside during prayer time if they so desire. If weather is questionable and you plan to come, phone or text me to ask if it is still on. (306)240-8696.

Bridal shower for Kaylee McGillivray Monday, August 10th, 7pm at Northwest Community Church. Please let Janice Groening McGillivray, Janice Nicolson Madsen or Susan Brucks know if you are coming as we can only have a certain number of people. Bring your favourite recipe, a verse to share or other words of encouragement on a recipe card. If you want tea or coffee please bring your own in a travel mug. Kaylee mainly wants to meet with people but if people want gift suggestions here are some:Gift cards from Walmart, Canadian Tire, Bed, Bath and beyond. Bathroom colours would be solid blue or green. Could use things like towels, dispensers, organizer baskets, mats shower curtains. She already had enough baking pans but could use juice/ water glasses and pitchers or glass serving dishes.

The City of Meadow Lake is stockpiling sandbags in preparation for potential flooding. Any volunteers willing to assist with filling sandbags are asked to come to the Fire Hall at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (June 18) or call 306-236-0213. Please bring your own hardhat and gloves and wear safety shoes. Due to ongoing pandemic risks, we are performing this work in shifts.
