Big congratulations to NorWesters athlete Quinn Cameron for winning the decathlon at the Canadian Legion Youth National Championships. Big congratulations to Team NorWesters for a successful four days of competition at the NCCWMA (North, Central American, and Caribbean World Masters Athletics) Championships in Toronto. Shauna Bunbury, Patty Szybunka, and Karin Femi Adande, competed against athletes from the US, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and more and brought home four gold medals, four silver, and a bronze. The triple jump and 4x100m championship records were also broken.

This year's Trevor Craven Memorial Meet will be held on June 21-23, 2019 at the Burnaby Swangard stadium from track and jumps, and at Burnaby Central for hammer and discus. NorWesters Masters athletes had a very successful weekend at the Canadian Masters Championships with every athlete ending up on the podium and two BC records broken!

Many thanks to the volunteers who made our Frank Reynolds Memorial Cross-Country Race such a success! The forecast for rain turned to just a cloudy day much to our delight. It was a great day to run in a beautiful location. Some of our athletes enjoyed watching the Vancouver Aquarium release seals on the beach. We hope that all our athletes had a great time competing. It was great to watch them coming across the line and seeing them all do so well.
