April is Oral Health Month!!

Our tree has just been completed thanks to the lovely children of the Norwood district public and intermediate schools! They helped themselves to some of Sam's wonderful Christmas cookies on the way out - we can't blame them!

Great news! As the holidays seem to be rapidly approaching, our 2nd Annual Hospice Fundraiser is underway!! Last year we raised $540.00, you can read all about it in the article posted below. For a $5 donation, you will receive a dental exam with Dr.Rene Boljkovac as well as a panorama xray, as medically needed (exams are regularly $55, pan xray is regularly $65). If you or anyone you know is in need of a dental exam, please share this with them so they can have the opportunity to come in and receive care. ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO HOSPICE NORWOOD! Happy Toothsday! Last "Toothsday" our hygienist Sam was asked to represent Norwood Family Dentistry at Peterborough Regional Health Centre for a staff information day! It was an awesome day to spread some oral hygiene knowledge (and tooth brushes), check out her presentation in the photo on this post, or in the office! Many warm thanks, Sandra We received another kind thank you letter from Camp Kawartha for our silent auction contributions to their Surf n' Turf fundraiser at the start of the summer. They raised $35,000.00 to help support underprivileged kids go to camp and the event was loads of fun! We were lucky to have been able to participate!! We have one last BIG thank you to Joseph Digiovanni for helping in our office this summer. You may have heard from Joseph in the last few weeks, as he was helping us get our patients booked and helped install valuable computer software to make our office even more efficient! He is now back in college for the fall, but continues to help us with tech emergencies and editing our newsletters. Joseph also helped us with publishing our website this summer!!!! norwoodfamilydentistry.ca is UP AND RUNNING, and we are over the moon! Thank you to everyone that contributed and made it happen! The website even allows for online booking requests and has lots of information on our services and family-friendly education material. Easy to say, Summer 2018 was outstandingly memorable and very worthwhile for us.
