Easter, Passover, Ramadan and other holy celebrations are taking place now and in the coming days; they are and will be just a little different this year. There is much however that we can do to maintain a sense of normalcy in these uncertain times. Food is still one of the pleasures readily available in the present lockdown of many services that we have all taken for granted for as long as I can remember. Food has always been such a comfort in our home, always bringing to m...ind good times of family gatherings,warm memories and thoughts of well being, comfort and safety. We at Nosh On This are busy preparing some special pastries that have been a tradition in our home and yours for generations. This weeks deliveries will include variety boxes filled with gluten free and vegan treats in small medium and large sizes, our delicious cinnamon buns now in two varieties, sticky bun and dairy free with cream cheese topping, dinner buns, hot cross buns, Easter bread, pavlova, mocha torte, coffee cake , tiramisu and fruit pies your choice of cherry apple or lemon. Good news we have joined the online store at St Norbert Farmers Market. We have a great lineup of gluten free, gluten-free vegan, refined sugar free, sugar free and grain free options for you to choose from. If you do not see something on your wish list or if you would like something added to our online store direct message me and we will try to add it for you. You can preorder, prepay and p/u at market between 10 and 2 on market Saturdays (every 2weeks) either at a drive through location or inside the canopy, easy peasy.

Chocolate peppermint hearts- gluten-free vegan and refined sugar free. Lightly sweetened with maple syrup and just a hint of peppermint oil to compliment their rich chocolate flavor make it difficult to stop at one . They are one of our many grain free options as they are made with both almond flour and almond butter. These flourless cookies are a must try. Find them at St Norbert farmers market this Saturday!!!

My favorite Sunday morning breakfast. Pancakes courtesy of Faithfully Gluten Free’s recipe for light and fluffy gluten free pancakes, seriously the title describes them perfectly, amazing!!!! I generally mix up the dry ingredients the night prior and in the morning it’s so easy to add in the wet ingredients. Today I added a sausage from Wild Fire Farms which is free is nitrates hormones and gluten. It is not certified gluten free; however we have had no issues with them after a few years of using them. For certified gluten free Costco has delicious certified gluten free sausage patties made right here in Landmark Manitoba. Happy Sunday everyone.

Joining our sugar cookie family are these cassava flour cookies. Lightly sweetened with coconut palm sugar then dipped in Lily’s stevia sweetened chocolate and lightly dusted with some freeze dried strawberries; they are not only delicious but oh so pretty. They are grain, gluten,refined sugar free and vegan. They are our healthiest sugar cookie by far. Yum!!!!!!!!!
