Hi! My name is Sarah. I am from Tsawwassen, BC and I am in my third year at Dalhousie University studying International Development and History. I am volunteering for No Time for That Anti-Bullying Society as part of a student volunteer program at Dalhousie. I chose to volunteer with NTFT because of the volunteer and leadership opportunities I had growing up. I hope one day I can help give kids the same opportunities I had, as volunteering and leadership shaped me into who I am today. When I am not volunteering you can find me studying, reading or planning where I want to travel to next!!
Be the change! How can you show that you have no time for bullying, stigma, or the negative this week and promote kindness and inclusion? "We are the change we've been waiting for." - Barack Obama Mural by artists Adrian Meadows and Frankie Zombie.
We are doing an online 50/50 fundraiser in #NovaScotia to help raise funds for our "No Time for That" Virtual Tour! Get your tickets with ExperienceFunding.ca here: http://ow.ly/ebeK50Brx9M
A post from our board member Martina Kelades. #SelfCareSunday On the Life Out Loud - Mental Health Consulting & Creatives podcast, I recently had a chat with my Life Coach about recharging my energy. Understanding that I am currently operating from a place of deficit, I know that I do not have the full capacity to serve and do the things I intend to do, and so its time to scale back and examine areas in my life where I can plug and recharge. I completed my coaching homewo...rk, which was to identify through a chart how my energy was being depleted and recharged in the various areas of health mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And let me tell you, this was a WAKE-UP call! Examining this chart afterwards made me realize that I had been spending most of my energy in the depletion arena Im not setting specific boundaries, Im doing too much, my mental health is diminishing, and as much as I HATE to admit it, I am burning out. I realize that I need to focus more on observing my energy levels to identify where energy is leaking and where energy is serving me. This message isnt just about mental health; its about our whole health. And as my wise coach, Mischaela Coaching says, Energy is the thread that connects it all. Where are you spending your energy? Which areas of your health are you overspent and where are you experiencing a surplus? It will be a process to work through this. Its not just an art activity but it is necessary, and it is worth it. Tune into the Coaching Cast, Observing and Preserving our Energy, on the Life Out Loud Podcast (Ep.13), as Mischaela shares ideas on how we can observe and take action to recharge our energy. Check out the show, wherever you find your podcasts, or click the link in my bio to listen! Brought to you by, our unscripted lives. #LifeOutLoudPodcast #CoachingCast #EnergyShift #LifeOutLoud_NS #Halifax #NovaScotia

Did you know that we are partnered with Kids Help Phone? All schools that we work with receive materials from Kids Help Phone about the topics discussed in our presentations and resources are provided to staff and students. If any student needs someone to talk to, they have the information to connect with a professional, certified counsellor. Our Founder & CEO Elsie Morden is an official national ambassador for Kids Help Phone! ... We do not receive funding from Kids Help Phone or their partners.
Tour Diaries : Elsie Morden is wearing our Never Give Up shirt. One of the students is holding an award from a partnership that we did with Shaw Communications to celebrate students demonstrating kindness and leadership. November 5, 2018. One of our charity's main values is #Passion: Our presentation has been and always will be offered to schools free of charge. We genuinely care about everyone affected by bullying and mental illness and want to make a positive difference in their lives.

Music has a way of moving people like nothing else can. It's a main part of our programming and is one of the top reasons why our presentations are so effective and impactful. What's a song that really moves or motivates you? Tour Diaries : March 12, 2014. Vedder Middle School. Chilliwack, British Columbia. #NTFTtour
Real talk. Because sometimes we cant even name the emotion we are feeling. And more importantly because we want you to know that every single emotion that you feel is valid. Too often we assign a good or bad, positive or negative stamp on our emotions and we try to feel the good and avoid the bad. When in reality, the only researched correlation to actual happiness was found in people willing to feel their feelings regardless of whether they were considered positive or negative. Aka - when we own all of our feelings - whatever they may be - we are happier. So heres a colour wheel so you can honour, name and own your feelings so they dont own you. Give yourself permission to feel the good, the bad and the ugly. The rainbow is what makes us human. Photo and caption from I AM THAT GIRL.

It's #BacktoSchool time and we want to ensure that we are there for youth. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, school closures, and social distancing rules, we are adapting to the situation by moving our youth bullying prevention and mental health programming to a virtual presentation platform. In order for this program to be professionally delivered, we will need to invest in new technology such as a video camera, lighting, microphones, a laptop and presentation software. T...here has been a significant increase in calls to youth helplines since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Many youth are in need of support and resources now and in the future as communities adapt to the "new normal". NTFT has identified the importance of being innovative in order for our programming to continue. Stand up to bullying! The more people who take a stand against bullying, the safer your school or community will be for everyone. This is a great article by the Kids Help Phone "Bystander: What to do if you witness bullying" http://ow.ly/94rW50B9Fbo
On this #TeamTuesday, meet Curtis Gibson! Curtis lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is a financial planner. He has 3 kids that are in school and volunteers his time coaching youth hockey. Curtis likes to golf and go boating/fishing and is a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Curtis fully understands the importance of youth receiving messages of empathy and empowerment. He has been on our team since we became a charity over 5 years ago and we are so grateful for his continued support. Thanks Curtis!
Heres your friendly reminder to do good this week and lead with love, however that looks for you!
