Notion Papillons 26.06.2021

Breeding is hard. It’s a huge responsibility to not only try and better the breed, but also create companions that are happy, healthy and match their owner’s needs. The best you can do is complete all relevant health tests and genetic screening, study pedigrees and analyze what certain combinations have created. Stay in touch with puppy owners and with the owners of the dogs you used in your breeding program. All of my dogs have yearly eye and patella exams and genetic screening relavent for the breed. I would never breed a dog that has a known heritable disease nor would I hide any health issues from potential or current owners. If you want to learn more about Papillon health testing or specifics about my dogs, please reach out! It is my favourite thing to talk about

I received the most amazing endorsement from Neo’s owner. Breeding is hard work and the pressure to create perfect puppies and match them to the perfect home is difficult but this made it all worth it. My entire experience with Notion Papillons has been outstanding. Erin McLaughlin is a knowledgeable, experienced, and caring breeder with an excellent program for raising and socializing puppies. I was floored by her dedication and the amount of time and effort she spends... making sure the puppies get the best possible start in life. She communicates with prospective puppy owners on a daily basis - I always rushed to check my messages each day to see the latest adorable videos of the litter. We were constantly updated with developments and firsts for our puppies, and provided with plenty of photos and videos to dream about. My puppy Neo (Karma x Frankie) is the best and easiest puppy I have ever had. He has lovely structure and a personality to match. He is happy, confident, and a delightful extrovert. He loves all people and other dogs, although he is also very strongly bonded to me. When I took him for his first round of puppy shots, I worried because we weren’t allowed to accompany the puppy into the clinic because of COVID-19. I thought he might be afraid on unfamiliar ground and with strangers. But afterwards my veterinarian called and said that Neo has the best temperament she’s ever seen. I said, yes he has a great temperament for a papillon, and she said no, he has the best temperament I’ve ever seen in any breed. Apparently even while they were giving him the shots, his little tail was wagging and he was dispensing kisses to all of the staff. And that is typical of Neo. He is just a bright and cheerful soul whether he is playing, learning new things (he’s incredibly smart), or just hanging out in my lap after a full day. He is also becoming an impressive athlete; his favorite thing is running, tail down and ears back, with a huge grin on his face. He is going to be my agility soulmate, without a doubt. He is everything I hoped he’d be and then some. He already is my heart dog, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. I will always be grateful to Erin for producing this absolutely perfect puppy and I am so honored to be his human. (Well, his main human. He’s quite sure that all humans are his.) Kava got mail! This makes her clear for every genetic disorder identified in Papillons. She also has passed eye and patella OFA exams every year since she was 2. Kava is such a special girl. So athletic and driven but also a very pretty girl. Kava is from Piikachu*s Papillons and I am very lucky to have her
