Happy Monday everyone! Notre Dame's morning prayers this week will revolve around Pentecost as we are less than a week away from celebrating this event in the church! Where the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and they were given the strength and courage to share Jesus with the world. This event was the birth of the Church. Today we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord, Jesus Christ. After His resurrection, Jesus' friends saw Him for another 40 days. Then Jesus returned to His Father by ascending into heaven. The bible explains that a cloud took Jesus away and hid Him from the sight of his disciples. The ascension of Christ marks the end of Jesus' special appearances - but we know He has not disappeared forever.

The Foods 10 classes have been studying about Canadian heritage foods and today’s focus was Indigenous ingredients and cuisine. Students had to choose an Indigenous recipe or use indigenous ingredients in a contemporary way. Today picks included marinated venison steak with wild rice, Saskatoon tarts and scones, bannock and frybread with raspberry glaze, baked cod and cornbread. #foods10 #cts #indigenouscuisine #whatdidyoucooktoday

Our school Division has collaborated with the Smiles Thru Lindsey Foundation and the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre to help increase awareness of mental ...health issues to teens through the innovative work of a local high school student. Sophia Arnusch, a Grade 11 student from Notre Dame RD has been making waves locally and internationally, through her self-published magazine, Sophia Lia Mag, which centres around teen mental health.
